The intricately carved serpentine Chinese pendant in this necklace joins two symmetrical strands to complete the necklace. Each symmetrical strand follows a pattern of knots, smoky topaz, aka known as smoky quartz, nuggets and round wooden beads. The necklace is fastened together with a hand woven macramé loop. The subtle color of the translucent quartz contrasts with the opaque wood beads for an unusual combination of the earth’s natural elements. The imperfections of the smoky topaz makes each nugget unique, each one tumbled into a smooth and uniquely different shape. The necklace measures 24” in length.
